CSS Standards and Browsers

Thursday, April 27th, 2006

Here’s a chart like I was talking about, except it’s pretty darn old. But this too is useful.

It shows the progress and if you care about users on EI 1, you will find it helpful. :)

And here’s a nice mention on depriciated tags and such…

Thursday, April 27th, 2006

I started to see if I could find a chart that details exactly what browser versions support what features in a CSS.

So far, nothin’. But I will start to compile a list of good resources.

Here is the first…

Hate your job? Want to be a God?

Monday, April 17th, 2006

Returning from class at NYU this evening, I was pleasantly surprised and confused when I read a help wanted ad in the Village Voice.

Nested between the messenger and the mover ads was:

Businessisms and Phrases

Monday, April 10th, 2006

I’d like to run the below is a list of businessisms and phrases straight out of “The Dictionary of Business Speak” up the flag pole to see who salutes.

Here is my business speak sentence, “Going forward, let’s run our ideas up the flag pole to be sure we are all on the same page, because at the end of the day we all need to be thinking ouside the box. ” Wow! Business speak can be such good communication!

  • Going forward
  • Think outside the box
  • At the end of the day…
  • Run it up the flag pole
  • Repurpose
  • FYI
  • Value added
  • On the same page
  • Talk about this off line
  • Peel back the onion
  • Regroup
  • Get on board
  • Any and all IM short-hand
  • Ping (when not referring to www related activies)
  • Bandwidth (see Ping)

Thank you to all of you who have contributed. Feel free to add to the list in the comments below.

Here are a few other folks who are on the same page as my team.

Spring forward with my first red nose of 2006

Sunday, April 2nd, 2006

I spent an hour or so today sitting in the sun reading “Best Practice - Ideas and Insights from the World’s Foremost Business Thinkers” for my Graphic Communication Management Seminar class at New York University (NYU).

I recommend it to anyone who works in an office or if you work for yourself. Or if you have nothing else to do but take reading recommendations from a random website in New Jersey.

It was the first time me or the 2 plumeria plants (Haole and Wiwiana) made their way outside to sit in hopes of sucking up vitamin D.

Well, me and my red nose have to go get the plumerias now. Happy day light savings time. A glimpse of good weather is welcomed…
