Nick Scores a 4.0 at NYU in his first full-time grad semester!

Saturday, June 3rd, 2006

The spring semester at NYU is now officially over. All my grades are in and accounted for and in case you didn’t guess by the title of this post, I got straight A’s out of 5 two thousand level classes that totaled 12 points. Go me.

Classes included, Crisis Communication, at Stern or what I like to call, “When bad things happen to bad companies”. I’m just kidding Wal-Mart. I’m a fan of running main streets out of business and I think your big windowless box of a store is beautiful too.

A Negotiating class at Stern in which we covered when to hold em, when to fold em, when to walk away and when to run among other things.

Graphic Comm. Management Seminar where we discussed all of the best practices of management and the not so best practices.

Creating Identity in which a team of 3 including myself brought to life a branding guide, website, biz cards and t-shirt for an online game company on a very strict timeline.

And last but not least, Print and Web Media which covered a bit of web and a dump truck load of print. I once wished that I could learn all about the printing process. Well, that is off the list of things to do. From paper, to ink, to color management to digital to conventional. All topics were touched upon.

I’m currently taking a 4 point Digital Sound Design class at Tisch. Depending on the how good and how lazy I am, I may post some sound bites here.

Report Spam

In the past few months, my email account have been pounded by the lowest mortgage rates available, great stock buys and naughty Russian girls.

Not to mention the a slew of medications including Viagra and the various natural ways to make my friends jealous of my love life, or something like that.

Not of which mind you have I opted into. This is a violation of the CAN-SPAM act. How that is going, well, from my experience as a recipient of spam, not very well.

So in an attempt to stop the spam I have created an account at Spam Cop with the hope that at least some of the spam will end.
