Not quite the summer of 2006 wrap up
Sunday, August 20th, 2006It’s been a while since I’ve heard myself speak. If you have been listening to my banter, here we go…
What I have done on my summer vacation (so far)…
I scored another “A” at NYU this summer. This time in Digital Sound Design at Tisch. I thought recruiters and HR departments of all kinds would be interested in knowing that bit of information.
This is the 6th “A” in row for my graduate studies at NYU for 2006. Which I might add are ending in December of 2006. Again, I thought recruiters and HR departments of all kinds would be interested in knowing that bit of information. Continuing…
Long Branch Sprint Triathlon - I completed the July event that consisted of a quarter mile swim out and back in the Atlantic, a 9.5 mile bike around the town of Long Branch and a 3 mile run on the boardwalk. I did it in about 1 hour and 13 minutes. Certainly not the calibur of the other more serious triathletes, but for a first time out I think it was pretty good.
This weekend I saw Uncle Floyd at the Baronet Theatre in Asbury Park
. His show is an hour and a half of easy, charming, campy jokes, but it was the best show I’ve seen in some time. Either I have to get out more often (a good possibility) or it was very entertaining show. I think Uncle Floyd rocks.
If you’d like to find out what shows are at the Baronet Theatre in Asbury Park, NJ go to www.asburybaronet.com. It’s really difficult to find this web site in Google. I bet my site is found before the Asbury Baronet site is found when searching in Google. I don’t know this because I’m God, though I considered it as a summer project, it’s because I know a thing or two about search engine optimization or SEO as they like to call it.
If you are interested in having your site come up in the search results on Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc, feel free to contact me. There is a resume link on the right to do this. This concludes my shameless self plug.
Last night Peter, Paul and Mary graced the Great Auditorium in Ocean Grove. The Great Auditorium is designed after Noah’s Ark, or so I heard somewhere. I’m not sure if that’s true, but it’s a nice rumor to start if it isn’t. PPM were excellent. This is the 3rd time I’ve seen them. They rock (as much as folk rocks) everytime.
And last but not least, I swam a mile in the Atlantic Ocean today for the Ray Licata Memorial Swim. I came in 189 of 199 swimers. It took about an hour and two minutes for me to complete. At least I was faster than the Navy Seal Reservist who finished in about 1:25. Of course he was in full camouflage dress and his boots. Details, details…
Hope your summer is going well…
